Born and raised in Indiapolis, Indiana, Courtney Lee currently plays professional basketball for the Houston Rockets. He was drafted by the Orlando Magic with the 22nd overall pick in the 2008 NBA Draft out of Western Kentucky University. Lee set a freshmen scoring record at WKU finishing the season with 461 points.As a Hilltopper, Lee was named First Team All-Sun Belt Conference three consective years ( 2005-2008), and was honored as the Sun Belt Player of the Year during his senior campaign. Courtney finished his illustrious college career with 2,238 points, 128 games started, and one Sweet 16 appearance.
During his rookie season, Lee played a pivotal role in getting the Orlando Magic to the NBA Finals. He worked his way into the starting lineup and quickly became a fan favorite, while being given the task of guarding the opposing team's best player. He finished his rookie year averaging 8.4 pts, 2.3 reb, and 1.2 ast.
During the 2009-2010 NBA season, Lee started 66 games, while averaging 12.5 pts, and 3.5 rebs for the New Jersey Nets.
With the Houston Rockets, Courtney averaged 8.3 pts while playing in 81 games during the 2010-2011 season.
He is currently entering the final year of his rookie contract with the Houston Rockets.
